::case study:: Overlake Reproductive Health

Overlake Reproductive Health (ORH) is both a laboratory and a clinic. Essentially they serve two types of clients: 1) Doctors requiring expedient, current and accurate laboratory services and/or a place to refer their patients. 2) Patients who are seeking a full service clinic to address reproductive difficulties.

For several years ORH ran a full page ad on the back of the King County Medical Society roster to reach their core audience — doctors and their patients. They engaged us to help them create a more compelling advertisement.

Ewing Creative interviewed ORH to become educated about the client's business. We generated a "creative brief" for further discussion, clarity, and direction. Three design concepts were then presented for consideration. Click on the images above to see enlarged views. Each concept deliberately appeals to the caring side of doctors and nurses devoted to their patients. The concepts also establish ORH
as leading experts in reproductive medicine.

Overlake Reproductive Health chose concept C: They felt it successfully addressed what "the doctor needs" (referring doctors' requirements for a full service laboratory), and what "the patient wants—a baby" (and the attentive, warm, caring boutique atmosphere that ORH provides). The bonus appeal of this ad is the visual — a successful conception.
